If you are changing phones and using the Apple Find My™ app, please follow these steps:

Step 1 – Remove the SmartCard from your old device

1. Open the Apple Find My™ app.

2. Select your SmartCard from the Items list.

3. Scroll down and tap “Remove Item.”

4. Confirm by tapping “Remove” again when prompted.

Once removed, the SmartCard will be disconnected from your Apple ID.

Step 2 – Pair with your new phone

After removal, the SmartCard will automatically enter pairing mode and become discoverable. Follow the setup instructions to add it to your new device.

If the SmartCard does not appear

If your SmartCard is not discoverable:

• Perform a Factory Reset.

• Then repeat the setup process.
