Get Your SmartCard Set Up On Google’s Find Hub AppUpdated a month ago
Use this guide to set up your SmartCard Gen 3 with the Google Find Hub app and start tracking your item.
Charge your SmartCard
Before pairing, make sure your SmartCard is powered on.
Place your SmartCard on a wireless charger.
Align the lightning bolt icon (on the back of the card) with the center of the charger.
A red LED light will appear to indicate charging.
Allow approximately 4 hours for a full charge.
The LED will turn green when fully charged.
You can pair your SmartCard while it is charging.
Log in to Google's Find Hub app
Open Google Play Store on your phone.
Search for Google Find Hub.
Tap Install (or Update if already installed).
Open the app.
Log in using your Google account.
Important Notes:
If you have multiple Google accounts on your phone, the SmartCard will link to your primary Google account.
You may be asked to grant permissions — review and accept them to continue.
You may see a “Don’t ask again” checkbox — select if preferred.
Pairing Your SmartCard
Before starting, make sure that your Bluetooth is ON, and your phone is connected to the Internet.
Bring your SmartCard close to your phone.
Press and hold the Find Hub button for 5 seconds.
The SmartCard will beep and flash.
A pop-up will automatically appear on your phone showing SmartCard.
Tap “Connect.”
Follow the in-app instructions to complete setup.
Note: There is no manual “Add Device” button inside the Google Find Hub app. The pairing pop-up appears automatically when the SmartCard is activated nearby.
Tips For The Best Finding Experience
Charge your SmartCard every 5 months.
Use it inside a leather or fabric wallet.
Place it in the outermost pocket of your wallet for better signal performance.
Share your SmartCard with family inside the Google Find Hub app so they can help you locate your item.
